Spend a relaxing and educational day at Texas Discovery Gardens, a year-round urban oasis located inside Dallas' historic Fair Park. Fair Park is a National Historic Landmark and was the site of the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition.
Explore 7.5 acres of organically maintained gardens filled with native and adapted plants, specialty gardens, ponds, fountains, and areas designed to attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
A highlight is the Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium, where you can walk through a tropical rainforest environment surrounded by free-flying exotic butterflies. Visitors can also explore the snake and reptile resort, garden trains, outdoor children's playscape, axolotl tank, and other exhibits.
The attraction is designed for visitors of all ages and offers accessible facilities. The Butterfly House is 100% wheelchair accessible, while the gardens feature wheelchair-accessible paths and ramps.
