Aunt Trudy—an unapologetic Christmas skeptic—has been roped into continuing her late husband Joe’s beloved tradition of sharing festive cheer. Alone in her Chicago home on Christmas Eve, she attempts to recreate his annual Christmas Carol puppet show over Zoom while her family celebrates from afar. But as she dives deeper into the tale, the puppets begin to stir, scenes spring to life, and the family call transforms into a stunning cinematic journey through Dickens’s ghost story.
